چکیده

In the far north, low temperatures and atmospheric icing are a major danger for safe operation of wind turbines. It can cause several problems in fatigue loads, balance rotor aerodynamics. With aim improving rigidity turbine blade, composite materials currently being used. A numerical work aims to evaluate effect ice on blades determine most adequate material under conditions. Different thicknesses considered lower part blade. this paper, modal analysis is performed obtain natural frequencies corresponding mode shapes structure. This elaborated using finite element method (FEM) computer program through ABAQUS software. The results have laid that blade varied according thickness there no resonance phenomenon.

Thermo-chemical Simulation of a Composite Offshore Vertical Axis Wind Turbine Blade

In the present study three dimensional steady state thermo-chemical simulation of a pultrusion process is investigated by using the finite element/nodal control volume (FE/NCV) technique. Pultrusion simulation of a composite having a C-shaped cross section is performed as a validation case. The obtained cure degree profiles for specific points match well with those in the literature. Following ...

Delamination Analysis in Composite Root of a Carbon-Layer Reinforced Wind Turbine Blade

The inconsistencies accompanied with material properties tipically cause the rise of delamination risk in composites made of different types of glass and crabon fibers. In this study, the delamination of a composite beam reinforced with a carbon layer under bending load is investigated. To this end, a small piece of a wind turbine blade root in the form of a heterogeneous laminated plate is sim...
